On May 20, Hoodlum Shouts will drop their new album, Heat Island. May 20, by the way, is also when they’ll find themselves in the warm embrace of Geelong’s Barwon Club.
Formed out of Canberra, the band has spent four years crafting their new album. It is the follow-up to their much talked about Young Man, Old Man. The word on the street says the album “peeks inside the political debates, misled bravado, the daily turbulence of humanity and a concern for our earth while recognising that there is plenty of good in the world and not all of society is coming undone at the seams”.
They’ve already released a couple of singles, the latest of which is called ‘Twin Cities’.
