We’ve been itching for another plant extravaganza.
Plant lovers rejoice, local green thumbs Lustre Blooms is hosting a lush two-day indoor plant and pot fiesta next weekend at their new home on Myers Street.
Previously operating at an online florist, founder Bridgette McLachlan decided to combine a passion of florals and botanics with hospitality by opening her very own café Oh Honey earlier this year.
Bringing her beautiful blooms to the fore, alongside delicious coffee, pastries, and sweet treats, this new shop has quickly earned a reputation as a magical plant paradise. Capturing our attention last month with a massive indoor plant sale, we can’t think of a better reason to pop back in then a two-day plant celebration.
Aptly titled ‘Foliage Fest’, this is all about celebrating your inner crazy plant lady/guy with a ridiculous amazing amount of stunning indoor plants, incredible pots galore and more books, dried floral arrangements and gifts than you could imagine possible!
Whether you’re looking for ways to liven up your indoors situation, just wanting to make your space potentially less stressful and more cozy, or you’re just a self-confessed plant addict, we guarantee you’ll leave Lustre Blooms that little bit happier, new plant baby in tow.
They’ll be teasing what to expect on their socials in the leadup, but on the plant front we imagine it will feature dozens of lush, desirable plants, including the likes of Syngoniums, Monsteras, Donkey’s Tail, Lady Finger Palms, Philodendron Brasil, and so, so much more. There will be a limited number of each variety so we recommend heading in early, especially if you’re vibing a ‘treat yo-self’ kind of day!
Coffee, pastries and treats from Oh Honey will also be available.
With social distancing limitations, there will be signage stating how many people can be inside at any one time and hand sanitiser at the door. They will be accepting both cash and Eftpos payments.
Lustre Blooms/Oh Honey is located at 65 Myers Street, Geelong (opposite St John of God Hospital). It all goes down on Saturday July 25 & Sunday July 26 from 9am-2pm each day. You can see all the event details via Facebook.
