The minds behind Sugar Republic and their giant candy museums have opened up the first-ever (and arguably cutest) lolly themed retreat in Daylesford. With sweet-themed rooms, free candy, a personal ball pit and cherry-scented wallpaper, Sugar Republic’s ‘Sweet Retreat’ is music to the ears of sweet tooths everywhere.
Located in an old miner’s cottage in Daylesford, Victoria (just a 90 minutes northwest of Melbourne), the Sweet Retreat is truly what dreams are made of. With pastel décor, a carebear collection, a whole bunch of neon signs and disco balls in the bathroom (yes! The bathroom!) it’s sure to have something to fit for every type of traveller.
There are four themed bedrooms in the retreat, giving guests the option of staying in the Peaches, Rainbow, Sweet Love or Tea & Biscuits rooms. There’s also a pink kitchen with all the appliances you need to make your own treats, a giant Paddle Pop in the living room, and a milk bar themed dining room sure to bring back plenty of nostalgia for their guests. As if all that wasn’t enough, there’s also neon-lit bathrooms, a free-standing tub to soak the day away and a huge outdoor space surrounded by gardens.
The Sweet Retreat has all the classic makings of the very best getaway location, coupled with some truly insta worthy décor and design.
