Be sure to check out this iconic festival before it disappears.

If you’re in the mood for being dazzled by mesmerizing spells, or bewildered by brain bending illusions, it’s time that you got yourself some tickets to the upcoming Melbourne Magic Festival!
Running from June 28 to July 10, the Melbourne Magic Fest is the largest of its kind in the whole southern hemisphere, and promises loads of spectacular acts from both Australia and abroad.

Here are the key takeaways:

  • The festival runs from June 28 to July 10
  • There will be over 150 performances spread across 35 shows
  • Tickets are still available, and you can check out all the shows right here!

The festival will be making its home at Arrow on Swanston this year, with four unique theatres and a central hangout to relax in between shows. Each theatre will be packed with award winning magicians, putting on shows for both the young and old, as well as workshops for those that want a behind the scenes sneak peek.

Some magicians do tell their secrets!

In addition, there will be heaps of acts taking place around the city, so be sure to check the details to make sure you’re heading to the right venue. Some of these acts include the beguiling talents of Nick Nicholas who won the MMF award for ‘Best Comedy Magic’ in 2018, the supernatural experiments of author Richard Wiseman and Lawrence Leung of ABC’s Unbelievable, and the raucous antics of magic duo Sam and Justin in their adults only magic show! These are just some of the highlights, but with over 150 performances across the festival you’re sure to be impressed no matter when you go!

The Melbourne Magic Festival first started out in 2008, created by The Australian Institute of Magic with the goal of giving Melbournians the chance to see world class acts all in one place. The festival started out with humble beginnings, but has since grown enormously to over five times its original size, with 17,000 attendees in 2019. Now, we don’t expect those numbers to be quite the same this year, and rest assured that the Melbourne Magic Festival is a covid safe event!

Pssst, cameras are allowed at heaps of the shows, so be ready to take photos of your friend that foolishly decided to volunteer!

Be sure to come prepared, so check out their website and Facebook page for all the details!
