The highly-anticipated waterfront Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre is starting to build their 2026 calendar!
Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre is now taking bookings for 2026 and beyond. Currently under construction on the Geelong waterfront, Nyaal Banyul offers 3,700 square metres of versatile event space, including a 1,000-seat theatre, 2000 sqm exhibition space, meeting spaces overlooking Geelong’s picturesque waterfront and more.
The precinct will host a wide variety of events from international and national conferences, exhibitions and entertainment events to local community gatherings with the centre now open for bookings for events from July 2026

As operators, the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Trust is inviting all event organisers to explore the potential of Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre. The dynamic Geelong Convention and Event Centre boasts a cutting edge, sustainable design adaptable to exciting event opportunities. With a 200 space carpark, and a location in close walking proximity to the Geelong Train Station, not to mention the premium waterfront views, Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre presents plenty of opportunities to event organisers.
With the inclusion of a connected 200-room Crowne Plaza Hotel and an on-site café, the site lends itself to gatherings of people on Wadawurrung country. Pre and post event, attendees are spoiled for choice with some of Australia’s best craft breweries, local wineries, farm gates and provedores, and vibrant creative scene all on Nyaal Banyul’s doorstep within the Geelong CBD.

Once open, it is estimated that Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre precinct will support approximately 270 new jobs. Additionally, each event at Nyaal Banyul will benefit a local ecosystem of hoteliers, event organisers, hospitality and technical staff, tourism operators, logistics and transport service providers, and more.
Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre is part of the Geelong City Deal, a collaborative partnership to transform Geelong and the Great Ocean Road by the Australian and Victorian Governments with the City of Greater Geelong.
