The beautiful folks at Surf Coast Sunflowers have turned this sunny vibe into an interactive experience, inviting flower enthusiasts to get hands-on with their Pick Your Own Sunflowers limited season event at Modewarre.

Imagine a picturesque farm on the Surf Coast where you can roam freely, surrounded by a sea of golden sunflowers. It’s not just a dream; it’s the reality at Surf Coast Sunflowers! Opening on Saturday, January 6th, 2024, and running through to Sunday, January 21st, the fields will be open for both day and twilight sessions.
Day Sessions (10 am to 3 pm): Be an early bird and pick your sunflowers under the bright sun. Tickets cover entry, and each sunflower stem you pluck comes at a pocket-friendly $3. BYO secateurs and a bucket for your blooming treasures.
Twilight Sessions (5 pm to 8 pm): For those who fancy a more romantic atmosphere, twilight sessions offer a dreamy setting as the sun dips below the horizon. Same deal – entry included, and sunflowers at $3 per stem.

Upon arrival, park in the adjacent paddock and head over to Alice the Airstream to get the lay of the land. As you wander through the sun-soaked patch and pick your own path among the sunflowers, don’t forget to BYO picnic (sans alcohol) and relish the farm’s warm hospitality. If you get thirsty or need a nibble, the Patch has got you covered with cold drinks and refreshments.
Since this is a working farm, they’ve got some practical advice: wear closed-toe shoes and leave your furry friends at home, as neighboring paddocks are home to some friendly livestock.
