Summer nights in Newtown are about to get a whole lot more enchanting as Barwon Edge presents its Summer Outdoor Cinema Series, kicking off on Friday, 2 February, for six consecutive weeks of movie magic beneath the open sky.

The cinematic series promises a curated selection of timeless classics, family favourites, and beloved gems, creating an atmosphere that transcends the ordinary.

The series unfolds on consecutive Fridays and a special Valentine’s Day screening, featuring two movies each night. Here’s a sneak peek into the screenings taking place:

For the event, you’ll be reclining on comfortable outdoor camping chairs, provided by the venue itself. Forget about lugging your own chairs; Barwon Edge has it all taken care of.
The cinematic spectacle unfolds on a massive outdoor event LED screen, delivering a larger-than-life visual experience beneath the night sky. As you settle into your movie-watching haven, rest assured that the designated areas allow you to enjoy your preferred drinks, with a menu spanning wine, beer, pre-mix spirits from Flowstate and a range of non-alcoholic options like juice and soft drink. However, remember, it’s strictly a ‘no BYO’ policy.
There’s also your classic cinema snacks, with popcorn, maltesers, and choc tops. You can also opt for a more boujee experinece by pre-booking a charcuterie board, packed with meats, cheeses and a range of accompaniments.
Ensuring your comfort, outdoor toilets, including a disabled toilet, are conveniently available onsite.
