Bid adiós to the questionable waters of St Kilda or the overcrowded chaos of your local public swimming spot.

Arbory Afloat is open for the summer, which means we’ll be cooling off in the most glamorous way possible: three sangrias deep in their newly renovated pool.

Welcoming guests for its seventh season, the riverside mainstay is back this year with a Spanish twist. The theme is Balearic Beach Club, taking inspiration from the idyllic island lifestyle and the bumping late nights and free spirit of ’70s Ibiza.

Arbory Afloat’s Balearic Beach Club

  • Melbourne’s favourite riverside bar is back for the summer season
  • Guests can take a dip in their infinity pool and try a variety of snacks and cocktails from their new Spanish-inspired menu
  • The venue is open daily from 11am to 1am

Visitors are invited to soak up the sun on one of their plush poolside loungers, take a relaxing siesta in a private cabana, or seek shade beneath the brick-pink umbrellas.

The Spanish transformation goes down to the details. The venue has added vibrant hand painted lamps by Sydney-based artist Daimon Downey and is serving up snacks on a custom set of pastel-toned dinnerware designed by Robert Gordon.

On the updated menu, crafted by Culinary Director Nick Bennett and Executive Chef James Gibson, find a mouth-watering selection of tapas including jamòn croquetas, fried sardine bocadillos, rock lobster paella, and savory manchego churros. Wash it down with a healthy sip of Tempranillo, and the Yarra might not feel different from the Mediterranean after all…

With standard beach club hospitality, guests will be looked after with complimentary towels and a lifeguard on duty. With DJs booked and a host of events planned for the holiday season, Arbory Afloat has proven again that it is an unmissable fixture of the Melbourne summer.
