Always Live expands program to bring 400+ artists and 100+ events to Victoria

Hot damn, Always Live have dropped an insane amount of additions to their already thriving program.

Victoria’s biggest music event, Always Live, is returning with a lineup of over 400 artists and more than 100 shows across the state, including international sensations Maithili Thakur, Banks, and Anyma. The 17-day event will take place from 22 November to 8 December, lighting up metro and regional locations with non-stop live music. Proudly presented by the Victorian government through Visit Victoria, Always Live offers an unforgettable celebration of music featuring more than 300 local talents from across the state.

Highlights from the mammoth opening weekend include 24 electrifying events, sold-out headline shows, and family-friendly gigs, all spread across iconic venues. With its commitment to diverse genres and accessible performances, Always Live is set to take Victoria’s live music scene to the next level.

With a voice that commands attention, ALWAYS LIVE, in collaboration with UNIFIED Music Group, is set to break new ground by presenting an ANZ-exclusive performance from Indian sensation Maithili Thakur at Margaret Court Arena on Sunday, December 1. Marking her highly anticipated Australian debut, Maithili is one of India’s brightest rising stars, captivating audiences with her powerful fusion of classical and folk music. Her diverse repertoire, spanning original songs, captivating covers, and traditional folk tunes in both English and a vibrant array of Indic languages, solidifies her as a trailblazer for the Indian diaspora across the globe.

After selling out 25,000 tickets for his headlining Anyma Presents Genesys: Melbourne/Naarm show at Flemington Racecourse, with now announced impressive lineup of supports including CASSIAN, MIND AGAINST, LAYTON, GIORDANI, MAGNUS, PARIS, OLIIV, and BOUND, global electronic music sensation Anyma is set to deliver an iconic DJ set at Melbourne’s electronic dance hub, PICA, with an exclusive Anyma After Party. Presented by Untitled Group, this after party will see Anyma perform a one-off late night DJ set at Port Melbourne Industrial Centre for the Arts (PICA), making it the perfect opportunity for fans to keep the energy alive following his first ever Australasian performance.

Ensuring live music can be enjoyed through all budgets, the program also includes free and family-friendly events such as YERAMBOOEE, End of the Line, and Garage Band at Bunjil Place and Fed Square. Additionally, on Thursday November 28, Fed Square will host a free live broadcast of PBS morning show The Breakfast Spread. Featuring host Milo Eastwood and special guests, including a live set from Finn Rees (Close Counters), and celebrating Support Act’s Ausmusic T-shirt Day – drop by, or listen live via 106.7FM and the PBS website and app.

Elsewhere, St. Vincent (USA) adds one final date to her exclusive Victorian performances at the Forum, with special guests Telenova on Wednesday November 27. Summer Camp amps up the celebration with three TRAMP pre- and after-parties featuring Bambii (CA), Gottmik (USA), Bimini (UK), Absolute (UK), X BIG WETT, and more. And Waxahatchee (USA) will deliver an intimate performance at the Corner Hotel with Good Morning on December 4, while country heartthrob Brad Cox, due to overwhelming demand, has added a fifth and final show to his Yarns and Yodels Gippsland series at Riverview Tavern, Tarwin Lower.
