Held on Friday, November 29, this day will see a number of independent record stores (including Geelong’s Gifts for the Geek) bring in a stunning collection of exclusive, limited-edition releases for your to get your mitts on, including a special Pearl Jam release.
This year’s festival theme is Nyaal, meaning ‘Open Your Eyes’ in the language of the Wadawurrung people, Traditional Owners of Djilang (Geelong), and thus inviting visitors to open our eyes to scrutinise the issues of the moment.
Led by the team of parent volunteers, this is an exciting start and paves the way for greater efforts in future years.
Frolic Festival’s 2019 schedule includes its first-ever Carnival Day, featuring a performance from Yana Alana along with many Ballarat performers. Other events in the program include Frolic Cabaret, Bush Dance, Granny Bingo, The Wandering Circus and Afternoon of Jazz and Wine Tasting.
With a focus on the idea that the design industry is changing rapidly, as is the profession of Communication Design, this course addresses this shift through a fresh and exciting course focusing on all facets of communication design.
