Punk band and cringe comedy lords These New South Whales present an exclusive interview with Daniel Johns, the most decorated Australian musician of his generation, on the Christmas special episode of their YouTube talk show, ‘TNSW Tonight!’ (which aired at 9pm AEDT Tuesday 20 December on YouTube!).

A barefoot Daniel Johns, sporting boardies and a shark tooth necklace, discusses his new surf-folk project, ‘Sandy Johnson’, and premieres his new single, ‘Sex on the Beach’ in a live studio performance.
Ahead of the interview airing, Johns’ posted to Instagram stating: “In 2020 before the FutureNever era, I was asked by @thesenewsouthwhaless to sit with them for an exclusive interview on their Talk Show ‘TNSW Tonight!’.
“After this interview, I recall rating the appearance as equal to anything I ever did on Leno, Letterman or Conan…despite the fact that the production value was well below my expectations. But then they lost the tape which was disappointing to me after flying down and getting my hair done and delivering the interview of my life.
“Somehow a couple of years later, they’ve apparently recovered the tape and will be sharing the long lost interview as somewhat of a Christmas Special, Tuesday 20th December at 9pm on their YouTube Channel.
“I can’t remember WTF we talked about but I think it’s gonna be kuuuurrrrlllllllll.”

The mini mockumentary & full episode of TNSW Tonight! comes just over a month after the release of These New South Wales’ 3rd studio album titled ‘TNSW‘, which debuted at #9 on the ARIA album charts and #4 on the ARIA vinyl charts and received widespread praise.
