Following its success championing the electronic corner of the music industry in the year that was, the program is once again extending a hand to aspiring beatmakers with the help of one of Australia’s most exciting multifaceted electronic music producers and artists, Beatrice Lewis (Haiku Hands, Kardajala Kirridarra).

A master of her electronically divergent craft, Lewis will provide valuable tips and insights from her own creative process (one that has seen her become one of the most respected producers and engineers on the circuit), in addition to helping students master a variety of production techniques using Ableton Live, a program at the very top of the music production tree.

The eight-week course is aimed at young Victorians aged 16-20 years, and will equip students with tools and knowledge to help find success in careers within the music landscape, bolstered by support in practical areas such as growing their professional abilities, building relationships and mastering a variety of techniques using Ableton products.

The program – delivered in partnership with Ableton and Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation – seeks to increase diversity within the local electronic music landscape by creating a safe space for young people of different backgrounds and experiences to connect together while building their skills and confidence.

This free training and development program will be delivered from The Push’s new home in Collingwood Yards running for eight weeks from 26 April to 16 June.

Application are open now until 5pm Wednesday 25 March 2021. You can submit your application here.
