Push yourself to start a career in music with this free electronic music program

Commencing in February, the Electronic Music Accelerator will run over eight weekly sessions and is open to young Victorians who identify as female or gender non-confirming.

Melbourne is already Australia’s music hub and it’s the rebirth of the youth music organisation that we all need after this year of coronavirus topping the charts. Maybe you’ve already thought about pursuing a career but you all you need is one last push!  

Thankfully this year The Push Youth Music organisation are proudly announcing their first intake of their brand-new Electronic Music Accelerator program in partnership with Ableton, the world-leading brand of electronic music making software and hardware and Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation.

The Electronic Music Accelerator is inviting Australia’s next generation of electronic music makers, producers and aspiring artists who identify as female or gender-non-conforming to join their team! operating out of The Push’s new home in Collingwood Yards, this free program is open to young Victorians aged 16-20 years old, who are interested in kick-starting a career in the contemporary music industry

If this sounds like the opportunity for you, you’ll be given eight over eight weekly sessions, program participants will have the opportunity to develop skills in the field of electronic music production, be competent in a professional capacity and get the chance to build relationships and master a variety of techniques using Ableton. These experiences facilitated by Beatrice Lewis (Haiku Hands, Kardajala Kirridarra) Electronic music producer Beatrice Lewis is one of the most exciting multifaceted artists in the current Australian music landscape who brings a wealth of knowledge and first-hand industry experience to the program, to serve as both teacher and mentor.
