In recent years, we’ve become quite fortunate here in Geelong to have everything from a 1920s Prohibition-style cocktail lounge and chic wine bars, to inner-city brew-pubs and divey bars to quench our neverending thirst.

Either side of lockdowns, Geelong has seen an impressive raft of newcomers open their doors in 2021, gifting locals some truly outstanding new spots to spend an afternoon with a delicious drink in hand.

In no particular order, here are 10 of the best bar and brewery openings in the region, plus a new dedicated karaoke bar (because we’re all about that).
