Revelling in opulence, the pre-nightclub cocktail garden is peppered with greenery, vines and flowers, comfy lounge seating, barrels, an abundance of stand-up seating, green and yellow LEDs on the roof, and a long bar boasting service that will make you feel valued. It’s a sprawling venue with a massive capacity, and come the weekend, you can expect it to be packed – especially with free entry.

Sitting in that space between not quite a nightclub but more than a bar, Garden of Eden sports a DJ booth and slow-building dance floor that runs late on Friday and Saturday, powered by house, techno and disco beats. Sunday’s take it down a notch with live acoustic musicians filling the space in the afternoons.

Of course, when you need it there’s room to take a break from dancing, or have that long-overdue D’n‘M with your best mate with the aforementioned booths lined along the windows of the venue.

This magnifique set-up is met with an exceptionally crafted drinks list. While the previous incarnation was dedicated entirely to local gins, the Garden of Eden casts a wider net, offering classic and adventurous cocktails, top-shelf spirits, beers, ciders and seltzers on tap and an eclectic selection of wine.

Among the extensive cocktail list, you’ll find three different Patron margaritas, including grapefruit and watermelon creations. There will also be some venue-themed cocktails like the Poison Apple, Forbidden Fruit and a pink-tinged Adam and Eve concoction alongside a selection of the best of Wah Wah Gee and Wah Bah cocktails. Mason jar cocktails will also be available if you’re out on a budget.

While watching the sunset over the bay and sipping your way through the drinks list, Garden of Eden also have your grazing sorted with a menu of bites and generous garden platters with cheese, seafood, vegan delights, cured meats or tasty dips.
