‘Patchwork’ isn’t just an album; it’s a mosaic of Shannen James’ experiences, thoughts, and emotions, carefully stitched together to create a tapestry of 12 spirited tracks. A decade in the making, this album follows Shannen’s much-loved EP, ‘Arrows,’ and chart-topping hits like ‘Arrows’ (2020) and ‘Superstitious’ (2021) on triple j’s Most Played list.

Shannen’s musical journey includes endless weekends honing her craft at open mics, distilling over 90 shimmering songs to a curated 12, and embracing the challenge of creating an album that truly represents her. As she puts it, “I’m an album gal, and I think listening to this record from start to finish feels like a warm hug. It’s something I’d want to listen to driving down the coast at dusk, looking out over the water, and I hope people can go and do that when they listen to it too.”

The lead single, ‘Headlights,’ is a buoyant pop anthem inspired by fleeting relationships and the ticking clock during the challenging times of the Covid era. Shannen’s influences range from Fleetwood Mac’s warm nostalgia to ’80s sounds and Tears for Fears, with a nod to contemporaries like HAIM, Maggie Rogers, and Kasey Musgraves.

Shannen James has already built a formidable reputation with commanding live performances, leading to sold-out east coast tours, UK/EU headlines, SXSW and BIGSOUND showcases, and supporting renowned acts like Valley, Men I Trust, G Flip, Slowly Slowly, Thelma Plum, and Sycco.

The ‘Patchwork Tour’ promises more than just music; it’s a journey through joy, heartbreak, friendship, love, and personal growth. Shannen James, with her infectious energy and genuine passion, is ready to shine as a pop-folk sensation.
