Darwin-born, Melbourne-based Jennifer Kingwell is an “angel punk performer of delicious contrasts – a genreblending diviner of punk ukulele anthems to lush solo piano compositions, cabaret torch songs to epic pop ballads”.
A classically trained pianist with a background in computer music and experimental multimedia, Kingwell released her debut EP, The Lotus Eaters, in 2014. More recently, a debut longplayer is in the works, which is due for release in 2016. Jennifer has also been recording with avantgarde ensemble Silo String Orchestra, which follows on from their collaborative performances at the Melbourne Cabaret Festival.
