Throughout May, those who shop in Central Geelong and spend more than $30 in one day at any Geelong business can enter the draw to win the major $10,000 cash prize, which will be drawn on Tuesday, June 1 2021.
While 10 grand would be pretty nice, there’s also $6,000 worth of runner-up prizes up for grabs for three lucky local shoppers.
First, there’s a $3,000 shopping prize pack, which includes six $500 vouchers to spend at Market Square Shopping Centre, Westfield Geelong, Kathmandu, Eddy Elias Menswear, Townhouse Living and Swimwear Galore.
Next, there’s a $2,000 Pamper & Entertainment Prize Pack which includes one $500 voucher and six $250 vouchers to spend at Village Cinemas Geelong, Ren Skin Health, Ballroom Baby, Laserquest, Brush & Bubbles, Piano Bar Geelong and You’re Gorgeous Hair & Beauty.
Lastly, there’s a $1,000 Dining Prize Pack for all the foodies out there, with five $200 vouchers to spend at Kosaten Geelong, Mavs Greek Restaurant, Dribbles Burgers, ALMA Restaurant and Empire Grill.
Oooft, that’s a lot of local goodness right there up for grabs.
While you cross your fingers and toes for the major and runner up prizes, each shopper who enters in person will also receive a $10 instant reward voucher from a participating Central Geelong business (while stocks last of course and daily limits apply).
There’s $45,000 worth of these vouchers to be given away, and you’ll be able to spend them at one of the participating Geelong businesses, including the likes of Market Square Shopping Centre, Westfield Geelong, Ballroom Baby, Black Bull Tapas Bar & Restaurant, Books Around, Central Nutrition Geelong, Eddy Elias Menswear, Geelong Art Supplies, Mavs Greek Restaurant, Moo Mouth Coffee, Museum of Play & Art Café, Tourbus Entertainment, Townhouse Living, Viet Rolls and Village Cinemas Geelong, among many others. Whether you’re into food or linen, everyone’s a winner.
Not a bad bunch of rewards for simply swiping that credit card to the tune of $30, especially when we had to buy mum something special for Sunday anyway!
Once you’ve spent your coin, you can enter the draw either in-person at a redemption booth or online via the Love Central Geelong app.
To enter in-person, you’ll just need to take your receipts to the May Magic Redemption Booth located at 111-113 Little Malop Street, Geelong, Monday to Friday and in Market Square Shopping Centre and Westfield Geelong on weekends, open 10am-2pm daily. It’s here that you’ll receive the aforementioned $10 vouchers to spend at a local business.
If you’re in a rush and don’t have time to stop via the booth, you can actually enter via the free Love Central Geelong app from the Apple or Google Play stores. All you have to do is click the ‘May Magic’ tile on the home screen, complete the entry form and upload a photo of your receipt(s) to enter. Unfortunately, online entries are not eligible to receive the in-person instant $10 voucher but will go in the draw to win an additional prize, dinner for two at the illustrious IGNI Restaurant, valued at $470.
With more ways to win than ever before, it’s a great time to shop local, support Central Geelong businesses and be rewarded for it! It really doesn’t get much better than that!
