This evening is a chance to come and celebrate live music and say goodbye to this impressive exhibition.

With only days left to see her first solo show in seven years, Geelong-based live music photographer Lucinda Goodwin has announced a special encore closing event of her recent exhibition, Retrospect 001.

A celebration of live music and photography, and a timestamp of a 13-year catalogue of works from the internationally published music photographer and Geelong local, the closing event will take place on Wednesday, 19 May, from 6pm to 8pm, and include live performances from fellow Geelong music scene stars, acoustic artist Alister Turrill, keys wizard, Bella Deer, and sibling powerhouses, Lash 78.

It’s also the last chance to get your hands on some Australian music history across her artwork sales and her self-published zine, Retrospect 2022.

“This evening is a chance to come and celebrate live music and say goodbye to my favourite exhibition to date, I would love the opportunity to thank you in person for all of the support and love, not only over the last month of this show but for the last 13 crazy years!

The evening will also highlight some incredible musicians I’ve not only had the pleasure of working with but also consider friends in Lash 78, Alister Turrill and Bella Deer,” Goodwin shared to social media.

“I will have zines available on the night so if you are interested in picking one up, order on the website and select local pick up and I’ll have it waiting for you with a cute little note.

I hope to see you next week for one final encore of Retrospect 001.”

An entirely immersive exhibition giving attendees an exclusive inside look into Goodwin’s impressive work, the collection also includes several personal projects, including mixed media collage works, traditional film processes, including 35mm, medium format and polaroid, and “Music From The Burbs” – a video series born during COVID which saw her record stripped back versions of local artists songs in their homes.

This is not to be missed.
