Indie record store and music venue Trash Cult announce T-Shirt Design Competition

Submissions are now open for the Artless T-Shirt Design Prize 2022.

Most of us have a favourite t-shirt. It’s that t-shirt that fits as if somehow made specifically for us. It’s that t-shirt that magically makes us look and feel better than any other in our collection. Now, thanks to Bendigo’s Trash Cult, the possibly to-be favourite t-shirt of someone could well be designed by your good self.

For those unfamiliar, Trash Cult is an independent store offering carefully curated records, books and film opened by Mick and Lorelle at the beginning of 2020. It lends its name from ‘trash culture’, a term popularised in the 1980s referring to artistic expressions considered to be of “low cultural profile”.
