Calling all bookworms and avid readers! The highly anticipated Geelong West Rotary Book Fair is back, and it’s bigger and better than ever before!
Lose yourself in the treasure trove of literary wonders at the Geelong West Town Hall from Friday 4th to Sunday 6th August 2023.

This bi-annual Book Fair – a major fundraising event for the Rotary Club of Geelong West – has already made a significant impact on various community groups. Funds from previous events were channelled to support flood-stricken towns, Geelong’s Samaritan House, Barwon Valley Special Education School, and patient transport managed by the Barwon Health Foundation – all commendable causes that make a difference in the lives of many.
David Dadds, the President of the Geelong West Rotary Club, highlighted the importance of the event, especially during challenging times, saying, “Times are difficult for so many people, so it remains important that we work as hard as possible to generate funds to share amongst our challenged communities. Rotary is a proud ‘not for profit’ organisation with members paying a subscription to join, covering administration costs – resulting in all funds raised going directly to the community groups most in need.”

The best news? All these literary treasures can be yours for a mere $1 for children’s and paperback books, and just $2 for hardcover gems. The Geelong West Rotary Book Fair offers the convenience of EFTPOS too, making your book-buying spree an effortless affair.
One of the Book Fair’s fantastic community partners is the Geelong Regional Library Corporation (GRLC), who have been instrumental in supporting the event by donating retired books from their collection. This collaboration not only brings joy to book lovers but also champions the cause of environmental sustainability by keeping books out of landfills and into loving homes.
