Celebrate International Rosé Day with these Aussie wines

Most often brimming with fruit forward aromas, a light body and refreshing crisp finish, Rosé is one of our favourite drops and paying homage to it sounds like the ideal way to brighten a cold winters day.

While the date is widely debated, this Saturday will see vinofiles raising a glass of pink to celebrate International Rosé Day, worshipping the humble drop.

Here are some of our all-time favourite Aussie Rosé’s that we will be sipping on this weekend.

Terindah Estate Rosé 2019 – RRP $32
The delicate rose petal hues set the tone for this multi-award winning 100% Pinot Noir Rosé. The nose is floral and exhibiting velvety notes of candied berries and spring blossom alongside apricot and fresh watermelon. On the palate, this Rosé opens up on a bright upfront acidity with elegant notes of honeysuckle and freshly picked strawberries. A refreshing acidity settles mid-palate which leads towards a refreshing yet creamy finish. In short, sweet, light and delicious.

Swan Bay Rose 2019 – RRP $25
Bright and fresh with sweet raspberry and plum fruits, this Pinot Noir Rosé has a savoury backbone and a crisp dry finish. Based on the Bellarine Peninsula, Scotchmans Hill uses Pinot Noir grapes, a varietal that the region naturally favours. Taking a more specific approach to rosé winemaking, Scotchmans Hill select fruit with pale and dry qualities and using a wild fermentation technique that is continued in a 100% barrel ferment in 5 year old French Oak. Delicious!
