Australia’s favourite bakery, Bakers Delight, is giving away a mouth-watering 150,000 of their brand-new limited-edition Raspberry and White Choc Hot Cross Buns. And yes, you read that right – 150,000 buns, all for free!

For one day only, the first 300 customers at each Bakers Delight bakery across the country will get their hands on these tasty treats, packed with real raspberries, raspberry-infused cranberries, and white choc chips. It’s the perfect excuse to indulge in a little sweetness this March.
But while these limited-edition buns are sure to be a hit, it turns out Aussies have a soft spot for the classic. A recent survey revealed that nearly three-quarters (71%) of Australians still favour the traditional fruit-filled hot cross bun, with 11% preferring to skip the fruit altogether. Classic, creative, or both – we love our hot cross buns!
Luke Farrell, Head Baker at Bakers Delight, is already gearing up for the busiest time of year. “Bakers Delight is synonymous with Easter. We’ve been making hot cross buns for more than 40 years, and our Traditional Hot Cross Buns still have the same great flavour they did in the 80s,” says Farrell.
“We’re thrilled to declare Thursday, March 13th as National Hot Cross Bun Day and offer Aussies a free, freshly baked bun to mark the occasion.”
So, how can you get in on the action? It’s easy! Just head to your local Bakers Delight on 13 March, and the first 300 customers will snag a free Raspberry and White Choc Hot Cross Bun. If you can’t wait until then, don’t worry – these new buns are available in-store until 19 March, 2025.
