What to binge-watch on Netflix this month

Netflix has done a stellar job at making our isolation that little bit better for the past few months, thanks to streaming hits like ‘The Last Dance’, ‘Rick & Morty’, ‘Tiger King’ and ‘The Butterfly Effect’. Fortunately, it looks like they’re continuing to deliver the streaming goods this month too, providing a binge-worthy list of the new movies and TV shows that will curb our winter blues. There’s comedy, drama and some real-life action to keep you entertained, so leave your trackpants on and settle in for some quality watching.

13 Reasons Why: Season 4
Yep, it’s still going. As the fourth and final season, the series picks up from the dramatic reveal about who killed Bryce Walker (played Justin Prentice) at the end of the third series as the high schoolers try to keep the secret hidden. Across 10 episodes, fans follow the students of Liberty High as they deal with their biggest issue yet, while trying to survive the brutal hierarchy that makes up their high school. We imagine they’ll probably wrap up each storyline nicely, especially with the final episode titled “Graduation”. Prepare the tissues.

It hits Netflix on June 5.

The Sinner: Season 3
The show that has miraculously stayed close to the level of quality that the first season established, The Sinner: Jamie will see detective Harry Ambrose investigating a grisly car crash that leads to one of the most complicated and dangerous cases of his career. Definitely worth putting onto the Netflix release date calendar.

It hits Netflix on June 19.

Floor Is Lava
A show where teams compete to navigate rooms flooded with lava by leaping from chairs, hanging from curtains and swinging from chandeliers… Yes, really.

Eric Andre: Legalize Everything

Exactly what we’re in for with Eric Andre: Legalize Everything is yet to be seen, but that’s the fun of it. Get ready to laugh yourself stupid.

The Politician – Season Two
Created by Ryan Murphy and starring the likes of Ben Platt, Lucy Boynton, Jessica Lange and Gwyneth Paltrow, season one of The Politician was one of Netflix’s most popular series in 2019. This June, Payton Hobart and co. will return for another dose of scandal, backstabbing and delicious drama. While Platt has revealed this season won’t contain as many musical moments as its predecessor, the stakes are set to be even higher now that high school rules no longer apply.

Lennox Hill
There is something incredibly captivating about medicine and those who practice it and while the like of Grey’s Anatomy and House make for entertaining television, they don’t exactly provide a realistic snapshot of what it’s like to be a doctor. Following four doctors at New York’s Lennox Hill Hospital, Lennox Hill is an all-access pass to the frontlines of health care. Amidst the current pandemic, we’ve come to respect health care workers more than ever, and this glimpse into what they face daily is certain to amplify that.

Mission: Impossible
Tom Cruise, death-defying stunts and imaginary gadgets, do we really need to explain this one? If you’re looking for an action franchise, this is the winner for sure. Better still, Netflix the bloody legends haven’t just added the first film, but the three following ones too.
