Boom Crash Opera Lock in Geelong Show

Boom Crash Opera formed out of Melbourne in 1985. Music journos at the time were quick to cosy up with the band, and in April the following year the band signed with WEA and released their debut single, ‘Great Wall’.

Written to capture the live feel of a band, BCO would release their self-titled debut in 1987. Later, they would receive ARIA nominations for ‘Highest Selling Single’ (‘Great Wall’), ‘Best New Talent’ and ‘Best Video’ (‘Hands up in the Air’). To celebrate the album’s 30-year mark, the band is hitting the road. They’ll also be doing so with Andrew de Silva, who will make his live debut following the departure of Dale Ryder in 2015.

Workers Club, Geelong – July 2.
