Promising a spellbinding adventure for all involved, the popular regional tourist attraction Kryal Castle in Ballarat is hosting a three-day Festival of Magic over the Kings Birthday long weekend.

Running from Saturday 10th until Monday 12th June, guests of Kryal Castle will be enthralled by mystical performances and take part in a host of magical activities.
Be fully immersed in the world of fantasy by dressing up and visiting the Magical Markets for enchanting adornments and treasures to take home, or for those seeking to master the art of wizardry, daily spellcasting lessons will be offered where budding witches and wizards can craft their own wands and try out a few spells before snapping a pic with a Nimbus 2000. Ensure no magical training is left out by visiting The Wizard’s Tower to learn the techniques and ingredients required to brew a magical potion.
Across the weekend, guests will also be awed by magnificent live jousting performances by the castle’s resident knights in the main arena. All will be on the edge of their seats as these skilful knights charge at each other on their loyal steeds. Lucky ones may even meet the horses and give them a pat while asking the knights a question or two.
To have life’s mysteries unveiled, the tarot card readings are a must-visit for those interested in the occult for some fascinating foretelling. Other spellbinding activities include a live magician and roaming magic tricks sure to charm even the most sceptical.
“Set to be an exciting weekend, the festival will be full of magical fun for fantasy lovers of all ages with a number of new attractions to experience, as well as the castle’s usual entertainment on offer with a magical twist. The Festival of Magic will be the perfect escape for the long weekend,” said CEO of Kryal Castle Bart Hamilton.
Attendees are also encouraged to don their best magical-themed outfit, and thankfully, both muggles and wizards are welcome.
