Running for an entire month from April 1 until May 1, the pop-up marks the latest in Piano Bar’s voyages across the region, bringing along the unparalleled atmosphere and entertainment that only Geelong’s piano bar delivers. In the last 12 months, we’ve seen the pop-up run in Warrnambool, Portarlington, Geelong Racing Club and even Melbourne, giving new areas a taste of Geelong’s home of singalongs, friendship, inclusiveness and fun times.
Armed with a renovated shipping container and a sizable marquee, you can expect to see all the things we love about our nights at Piano Bar – the dance floor, the drinks, drags, magicians, vocalists, piano performances, and a number of special guest artists over four weeks this Autumn.
Taking over the Wyndham Cultural Center Car Park (where ‘Lit at Wyndham Park’ is currently running), multiple sessions will run across the month, bringing hours of live entertainment to keen punters with their Family Friendly Afternoons, Mellow Mondays, Bitches with Balls – Drag Bingo, and a ‘Taste of Piano Bar’ on Friday and Saturday nights. The ‘Taste of’ nights is where Piano Bar will truly shine, giving Werribee locals the chance to dance the night away as their stellar pianists and vocalists take requests for your favourite songs, as well as enjoy pop-up drag shows from one of their superstar drag queens.

Highlights from the pop-up will be Life In The Fast Lane on Sunday, April 10 for all The Eagles fans out there; Kate Daley Sings Fleetwood Mac on Sunday, April 24; Michael Zammit & The Hot August Night Band – A Celebration of Neil Diamond on Sunday, May 1; and Piano Bar’s Got Talent, which will see local legends get on the stage and perform their hearts out over two heats and a spectacular finale! With the chance to win $2000 cash plus the chance to win a paid gig at Piano Bar, this is a great opportunity to see what talent can be found in Wyndham Council and surrounds and help nurture the next generation of performers. If you or someone you know would like to have a crack, apply here.
The pop-up will also see the famed drag extravaganza ‘Pitch Please!’ takes over the bar on Sunday evenings, featuring three spectacular drag shows and song requests played by one of our fabulous pianists.
Having already expanded to Colac, Ballarat and Bendigo in the past few years, as well as moving online, running outdoor shows across the region, and running free laneways sessions over the past year, this is just another notch in the vibrant Piano Bar belt.
