Keen for a night of ’90s alt-rock goodness?
Australian royalty Spiderbait, Jebediah and Bodyjar are hitting Melbourne next week for Summer Sounds, and they’ve just announced they’ll be bringing their mates Cable Ties along for the ride. The Melbourne trio just released their second album, Far Enough, in March 2020. The record took out Best Rock/Punk Album at the 2020 Music Victoria Awards and put the band on the radar of Rolling Stone US, Grammy.com and NPR internationally.
Marking the final Melbourne show of Summer Sounds Festival, the lineup of Aussie icons will take to Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Thursday, April 8, and if their show at Summer Sounds Adelaide is anything to go by, this is going to be one heaving night of rock!
A festival with your COVID safety in mind, Summer Sounds will see punters revelling either on the lawn with the newly announced individual lawn general admission tickets, or in their own private booths, with tickets coming in three different categories – private decks, stall table and balcony seats. These new lawn tickets mean patrons will be able to move – and dance – about the show more freely.
So far the touring festival has already seen the likes of Ball Park Music, Thelma Plum, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Alice Ivy, Tropical Fuck Storm, Powderfinger legend Bernard Fanning, Something For Kate, Spacey Jane and RAT!hammock, truly injecting life back into the former live music capital of the world.
To celebrate the final show of the festival, we’ve teamed up with Summer Sounds to give away two double passes to this epic night of alt-rock nostalgia.
