Werribee Zoo’s Wild Nights returns with a ROAR!

Werribee Open Range Zoo’s much-anticipated Wild Nights will feature a ‘ROAR-some’ new element among the after-dark antics this year.

Life-size Dinosaurs have returned from extinction in time for the must-do winter tradition and will be brought to life for Dinos After Dark with dazzling lights, animatronics and an extraordinary soundscape.

The Jurassic creatures add to the already spectacular range of activities at the eight- night Wild Nights experience (July 6 to 13), which include dazzling fire shows, late night animal spotting, an Eastern-barred Bandicoot lantern parade, a Secret Garden, the Glow Zone, a hot chocolate bar and marshmallow toasting on campfires – all in the name of wildlife conservation.
Explore the African Trail by torchlight and see if you can spot animals along the way. Listen out for calls of the night and watch as wild nocturnal critters wake and get ready to start their day.

Head into the Bandicoot Hideout to introduce yourself to the critically-endangered Easter-Barred Bandicoot and learn about the conservation work that’s bringing this native animal back from the brink of extinction, find your way to the Glow Zone and be wowed by spectacular fire dancers, and then as the temperature drops, warm up with around a flickering camp fire toasting marshmallows, or head to the Meerkat Bistro for hot chocolate and mulled wine.

For the ultimate Wild Nights experience, book in for a special Dusk Safari Tour across the Savannah or get up close with African Cats at the Serval Presentation.

Wild Nights is the last chance for visitors to see Werribee Open Range Zoo’s Dinosaurs, which are part of the current Zoorassic experience on now.
