Unforeseen circumstances force TLC to cancel highly anticipated Australian tour.

TLC, the iconic American girl group, has announced the cancellation of their upcoming Australian and New Zealand tour alongside special guests Busta Rhymes and En Vogue.

The highly anticipated CrazySexyCool 30th Anniversary Tour, set to kick off in February 2024, will no longer proceed due to unforeseen circumstances.

In a message to their Australian and New Zealand fans, TLC expressed their regret, stating, “To our incredible Australian and New Zealand fans, with heavy hearts, we regret to announce the cancellation of our upcoming tour. Unforeseen circumstances have made it impossible to proceed, and we sincerely apologize for any disappointment.

“Your support means everything, and we promise to make it up to you. We can’t wait to be back in your beautiful countries soon. Thank you for your understanding and love.”

The CrazySexyCool 30th Anniversary Tour was poised to be a spectacular journey down memory lane, celebrating three decades of TLC’s Diamond-certified album released in 1994. The tour, backed by iHeartRadio, was set to captivate audiences from Trusts Arena Auckland to RAC Arena Perth, promising a nostalgic experience filled with fan interaction, ’90s fashion, and surprises.

Chilli, one of TLC’s leading ladies, expressed her excitement for the tour, saying, “I’m so excited to return to Australia! This is the album that put us on the map with Aussie fans and showed the world who we really are. And to mark 30 years, this will be quite the celebration!”

TLC’s second studio album, CrazySexyCool, produced chart-topping hits like “Waterfalls” and “Creep” and received a Diamond certification from the RIAA. The album achieved immense success in Australia, reaching the top 5 and remaining in the top 100 for an astounding 76 weeks, with sales hitting double platinum.

With over 85 million records sold worldwide, TLC stands as the best-selling American girl group, boasting 4 Grammy Awards, 4 multi-platinum albums (two of which went Diamond), four number one singles, and ten Top 10 singles. The group made a triumphant return in 2017 with a self-titled album that claimed the #1 spot on Billboard’s Independent Album Chart.

Despite the tour cancellation, fans eager to delve deeper into TLC’s journey can explore the two-hour documentary titled “Biography: TLC,” which premiered in 2022. Directed by Matt Kay and executive-produced by Academy Award-winning Roger Ross Williams, along with TLC’s own Tionne Watkins, Rozonda Thomas, and Bill Diggins, the documentary offers an emotional glimpse into the group’s survival against all odds.
