This grocery app is delivering Rapid Antigen Tests around Melbourne within 10 minutes

SEND is helping Aussies solve the dreaded RAT race in Melbourne and Sydney.

Ah, the ever-illusive RAT. These hot little pieces of plastic are in high demand right now as the highly infectious Omicron variant sweeping the nation.

While the distribution of these bloody RATs has so far been a farce, with stockists selling out within minutes and stressed humans driving around the countryside to get their hands on a humble two-pack, it’s left room for some to get creative.

Enter SEND, an exclusively online, delivery only supermarket, designed to send goods to people in 15 minutes and under, as opposed to physically receiving them in store.

Keep up with the latest in local news via our website.

Dispatching out of dark stores in inner Melbourne and Sydney (sorry regional folk, it’s just not our time),  SEND is now stocking rapid antigen tests (RAT’s) amongst its range of supermarket and ISO goods for speedy delivery. From the store to your door in 10 minutes, SEND is here to relieve some of the stress and anxiety currently associated with locating a Covid-19 screening test. Bless.

App users in Melbourne and Sydney will be able to add two-packs of the nasal swab DIY home kits to their cart, starting today. Retailing at $21 per pack (2-pack), individual orders will be capped at x15 units per person. SEND has also assured consumers the popular five-packs will be available to order later in the month as well, all for a delivery fee of just $3.

If the RATs are sold-out on the app, shoppers are advised to check back every 30 minutes as stock is been distributed evenly to ensure there’s enough to go around!

Championing both Sydney and Melbourne CBD, SEND will be able to service a total of 35 suburbs including South Melbourne, South Wharf, Southbank, East Melbourne, St Kilda, Albert Park, Collingwood, Fitzroy, Abbotsford and CBD; catering for individuals in isolation, those that are immunocompromised, or families and couples looking to minimise public outings while Omicron runs its course.

You can view the full suburb list for Melbourne and Sydney here. Deliveries can be made up to 2km from each individual SEND dark store.
