The scheme offers some relief for tourism operators who have been hit particularly hard by the pandemic. It comes as part of the $32.2 million Regional Tourism Support Package, which will also look to provide accommodation, attraction and experience providers with grant top-ups worth up to $4,500 per business. Furthermore, alpine businesses will receive up to $15,000 to help them provide a COVIDSafe ski season.

The vouchers encompass 10,000 new vouchers and 70,000 vouchers that were allocated in previous rounds but were not claimed.

For those who snapped up some vouchers in round three of Regional Travel Voucher Scheme, the travel period has been extended by three weeks to account for the current lockdown.

Stay tuned for a release date for the vouchers and the respective travel windows. More info here.
