The brainchild of Geelong’s Jon Gilchrist and Tristan Gall, The Mane Event is a fantastic initiative that aims to raise money and awareness of mental health issues within the local community.
Their next event is set to take place in October, but there are a couple of things to take care of before that rolls around. Firstly, The Barwon Club will host ‘The Mane Shave Three Bands and Three Bald Heads’ this Saturday, May 14. The Louds, Bipolar Bears and Apparition will provide some tunes, while three heads will be taken to with the clippers in order to raise funds for the October event.
The team is also running a GoFundMe campaign at gofundme.com/euyw33f8. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
