Remember the good old days when Aussie rock was at its prime? The Living End’s debut album, released on 12th October 1998, shook the nation and became an instant classic. The record-breaking release debuted at #1 on the ARIA Album Chart and stayed in the Top 10 for an incredible 27 weeks. Now, 25 years later, the band is celebrating its immense success with a bang!

Frontman Chris Cheney reflects on the album’s creation with sheer excitement: “This album right here was always our destination. All songs led here, and it represents a melting pot of our influences without sounding confused. It’s a beautiful blend of punk, metal, pop, rockabilly, jazz, ska, and more, all held together by our unique style.”

The 25th anniversary edition of ‘The Living End’ will come beautifully repackaged on vinyl and CD, accompanied by a 32-page booklet featuring Chris Cheney’s exclusive liner notes and period photos. But that’s not all – the album will include a thrilling 10-track live recording from 1998, captured for triple j’s Live At The Wireless. Prepare to be blown away by their covers of ‘On The Inside’ (theme from ‘Prisoner’) and a riotous rendition of their hit ‘Prisoner of Society.’

Tickets for this epic celebration will be available for pre-sale on Thursday 3rd August at 12 pm AEST, exclusively for fans signed up to the band’s database. General on-sale will commence on Friday 4th August at 12 pm AEST.
