The journey of The Levitation Hex kicked off in 2010 when Angus Agius (Alchemist) and Mark Palfreyman (Alarum) began kicking around ideas.
The following year the pair began recording, and soon invited Scott Young (Alarum) and Ben Hocking (Aeron of Horus) to flesh out the sound.
Their self-titled debut album was ready by 2012, a year which also included a European tour and a spot at the Prog Power festival. Not a band to waste time, they began recording their second album once they had slept off the jet-lag.
Their newie, Cohesion, is heavy on upbeat attitude and has a ’70s slant on progressive rock. You can pick up a two-album pack through levitationhex.net.
