This August, The KO will be bringing Kaylene Langford of Start Up Creative to Geelong for an insightful evening on side hustles.
It’s been a couple of challenging years for creatives and small businesses, with our local community continuously brought to its knees. Despite the hardship, what’s come out of the trials they have had to endure is how our community can face the worst of circumstances and still emerge with hope for a better future.
One place in particular that has done exactly that is The KO Creative Studio.
Stay up to date with what’s happening in and around the region here.
Co-founded by Karina van de Pol and Olivia Fleetwood, The KO is Geelong’s most beautiful co-working, events and creative studio space, which opened back in 2019.
Located in Newtown, the natural light-filled space has an aim to provide an environment for creatives and small businesses to work, connect and be inspired. With a photography studio, an events/gallery space for workshops and classes, and a co-working space, The KO is all about driving the innovation and development of the local community, through creative collaboration.
Since returning to their space following a series of lockdowns and closures, The KO has returned with a fire in its belly, passionate about inspiring others with a swathe of stimulating, uplifting and educational events. Based around the pillars of food and wine, art, design and creative business and ideas, events include the likes of cooking classes, wine tastings and creative workshops.
One workshop, in particular, we’re looking forward to is ‘How To Start A Side Hustle With Startup Creative’, an event in collaboration with business coach Kaylene Langford of Start Up Creative who has recently released her first book titled How to Start Your Side Hustle.
