Ready for all your ice cream dreams to come true?
When it comes to summer on the Surf Coast, it’s basically a given that ice cream will become a reasonably sized portion of your daily diet, so it’s a no-brainer that we’ve got an annual festival dedicated to the sweet treat.
The Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery is once again hosting its annual Ice Cream Festival, from February 7 – 18.

Running for 12 days, the indulgent Bellbrae destination will churn out 12 new flavours of gelato and sorbets each day, resulting in a baffling 144 flavours.
Think old time favourites, classic combinations as well as exotic creations all made fresh using only the finest ingredients. Look out for flavours like Rum Bumba, Peach Melba, Cream Cheese Sesame Bagel and a Wonka’s Magic.
They will also be featuring sugar, gluten and dairy-free options available, so no one has to miss out on this icy goodness. You can also try limited edition sensational sundaes and a host of other decadent desserts inspired by a love for ice cream.
If all that wasn’t enough you can also have a chilled picnic in the picturesque grounds of the Chocolaterie with the daily Ice Cream Festival Picnic Box, featuring twelve mini scoops of artisan flavours to savour!
Further celebrating the heavenly dessert, ice-cream lovers can book into 40-minute tastings where you can get generous samples of 12 flavours with fun toppings, all for just $24.
With 12 new flavours released each day, the best news is that entry to the festival is free so your only expense is the scoops you’re prepared to inhale. Ice creams start at $5.80.
