The next few weeks are your last chance to view the remarkable Stonework exhibition, which closes on 26 January at the Castlemaine Art Museum.

Curated by Jenny Long and Clive Wilman, Stonework exemplifies CAM’s approach to finding intriguing curatorial threads and stories linking our historically significant art collection, First Nations historical and contemporary art, CAM’s social history collection and work by living artists.

Stay up to date with what’s happening in and around the region here

Accompanying Stonework are free online education recourses supported by Novo Resources and a video by Clive Willman discussing the c.1853 Hoddle-Selwyn map of our region.

Stonework received an honourable mention in Christopher Allen’s wrap for 2024, The best and the worst of art exhibitions in 2024, The Australian 28 December 2024.

For a great slice of contemporary and historical Australian art and craft, the Moondance and 2024 Len Fox Painting Award exhibitions continue.
