Renowned for their epic car park parties, The Inn are back with a slew of summer events

Bring it on.

Who’s been missing hitting up The Inn’s annual car park parties for some cheeky Vodka Redbulls and live beats and good times?

Well, we definitely have, and now as social restrictions have finally eased to let us run wild, Geelong’s event scene is on the verge of blossoming into a nascent rose.

Since successfully restoring the formerly named ‘Bush Inn’ into a place of pride on Corio Street in the heart of central Geelong a few years ago, The Inn Hotel has become a serious weekend hot spot for great food, great drinks, funky music and insanely good vibes.

If you’ve ever attended one of their car park parties you’ll know exactly what vibes we’re talking about, and if you haven’t, well you’ll be able to find out for yourself because events at The Inn are back.

Following Uncle Dan’s announcement on Sunday, which now allows standing service and dancefloors in clubs and pubs, The Inn have unleashed a slew of events that they’ve been busy cooking up over the last few months.

So what have we got to look forward to?

First up, a wine festival will take to the car park on Sunday, December 20 from 3pm. Coined as a ‘wine festival for those who enjoy drinking but don’t necessarily know about it’, ROSE ROSE will feature an array of wine bars, food, music and complimentary wine tasting by the Bellarine and Surf Coasts top wineries. Expect the likes of Brown Magpie Wines, Mazzini Wines, Mt Duneed Estate, Oakdene Vineyard and Scotchmans Hill pouring all day, plus live entertainment from Abe Anderson, Ryan Bell and Eddie Example.

Next consider your Boxing Day celebrations sorted with the Decades In Dance party. Kicking off from 12pm, the kitchen will be firing, the big screens are showing the Boxing Day match, there’s acoustic during the day thanks to Abe Anderson and when it hits 7pm their resident DJs, Mitch and Daniel, will take ya’ll on a journey through the best hits of the decades!

Providing the beats while we throw our middle fingers up to 2020 and welcome in a new (and hopefully better) year, The Inn are also putting on a New Years Eve event with local muso’s, handcrafted cocktails and a NYE countdown like no other.

Kicking off January in style, the legends are hosting an Inn Beer Festival on Saturday, January 9. Taking over the car park and beer garden, there will be eight different beers on tap (lineup coming soon), full summer menu, and live entertainment from Rach Brennan and Mitch Loughnan (DJ). A beer festival inside a pub in the middle of summer, can we get a ‘hell yeah’?

These events are all free, and they’ll be taking bookings up to 9pm, with walk-ins only after 9pm.

And finally, the main event. The annual hottest 100 Car Park Party makes its triumphant return on Saturday, January 23. As always, triple j’s hottest 100 will be broadcasted live throughout the venue and car park, curating the perfect vibe to eat, drink and boogie. There will be local DJs to keep the party going into the night, car park eats including pizza, chips, burgers and dumplings, cold drinks, summer cocktails – they’ve got all you need for the perfect countdown.

This one goes down from 1pm to 1am. There will be limited free entry before 2pm, and limited $15 tickets on the door from 2pm. So, pull up a bean bag, grab a cold one and bunker down for one of Geelong’s hottest parties.

What a time to be alive!
