It's once again time for the ultimate summer day party underneath the faithful Lonnie Lighthouse.
Get ready to groove under the iconic Point Lonsdale Lighthouse, as the Point Lonsdale Boardriders Club announces the return of the much-anticipated 6th Lighthouse Party. If you thought last year was a blast with 650 people soaking up the sun and sounds, this year promises to be even bigger and better.
Scheduled for the 10th of February from 2 pm to 11 pm, this summer soirée boasts a stacked live music lineup that’s as sizzling as the Southern Hemisphere sun. Imagine a wooden open-air stage nestled amidst moonah trees, all against the breathtaking backdrop of the Point Lonsdale Lighthouse reserve. It’s the kind of setting that makes you wonder, can you name a better combo than live music and a freaking lighthouse?

On stage, you’ll find a musical feast featuring Milo Eastwood, Scott and Charlen’s Wedding, Radio Free Alice, Baby Blue, Flesh Cherub, Think About You, Hicksy, Ollie Holmes, and Matteo. Max Lazarus, the event organiser, can’t contain his excitement, saying, “We can’t wait to throw another killer summer party on the best outdoor stage in the Southern Hemisphere.”

But it’s not just about the music. It’s about community, and according to Lazarus, “Young people in Point Lonsdale and Queenscliff are itching to get out and do stuff in summer.” Matteo Meirelles, another event organiser, adds, “It’s great for the local community; people come down, stay in rentals, spend money at local businesses, and not to mention, we are bringing arts and culture to Lonnie, a town that is normally starved!”
In true community spirit, the Lighthouse Party is more than just a good time; it’s a fundraiser for the Point Lonsdale Boardriders Club, a non-profit community sports club. Every person involved in organising the event is a volunteer, and the funds raised will be channelled towards junior development and the ongoing mission to connect the clubhouse to mains power and water.
As the sun dips below the horizon, and the sounds of the lighthouse mingle with the beats, the Lighthouse Party is set to be the summer event that brings together good music, good vibes, and a good cause. Oh, and there’s also a happy hour from 2pm-3:30pm!
