Promising to offer a truly tailored experience for both artists and festival fans alike, the inaugural Out Here In the Field Festival will be headed by some of the best in Australian music right now with beloved blues-rockers The Teskey Brothers, heart-filling indie-rockers Middle Kids, Melbourne-based singer-songwriter Angie McMahon, Sydney troubadour Andy Golledge and acclaimed Indigenous vocalist Emma Donovan and Melbourne rhythm combo The Putbacks all slated to take to the stage, with more to be announced.
An ideal travel destination, Tassie has long been a hot ticket for music lovers over the last few years with festivals Party in the Paddock, SummerSalt, Monda Foma, Falls Festival, triple j’s One Night Stand, and Basin Concert, with Out Here in the Field being a worthy addition to the circuit.
While the quality of music will continue to shine through this festival, Out Here in the Field is no ordinary festival. Instead, this festival is all about providing a mutually exclusive, one-of-a-kind experience to both festival-goers and artists alike. And one glaring omission will be food trucks. Rather than eats from a portable van, the festival will offer a curated dining experience with globally inspired tastes backed and built by fresh local produce, while you drink your fill with local craft beer on tap, wine by local producers, and seasoned cocktails on the country club-themed tennis court (yep, you read that right).
Already shrouded in mystery, we don’t have a specific location for the festival just yet, other than it will be somewhere in Hobart, probably in a field. Event organisers will be dropping clues over the next few months via their socials, giving away two VIP tickets to the best investigator.
