Returning for another run at the older-ages event, is Shanita Vice, Mister Jon and Jazzy J, spinning the decks with tunes that are out of this world! Leaning into the space theme consider the inclusion of tracks ‘Around The World’ but EDM giants Daft Punk, ATC’s ‘Around The World’ (cue the la, la, la, la’s) and maybe some newer bangers like ‘Shooting Stars’ from Bag Raiders.

Kate McAnergney aka Shanita Vice has become a staple of the Geelong and surrounds nightlife scene. Starting at raves in New Zealand back in the 1990’s, life took a detour and McAnergney became a yoga teacher, before returning to the raves in 2019. The 7-inch vinyl selector has a passion for the 70’s and 80’s, sampling tracks across partystarter genres including disco, soul, funk, rnb, boogie, new wave, freestyle rap, synth pop and yacht rock. She’s often found on the decks with a crate of goodies at Limeburners, Bird Rocks in Jan Juc, and Captains.

Joining Vice is misterjon. The event organiser of the Spring Social, Jon Hammond aka misterjon has a passion for the nightlife. His DJ style is heavily influenced by the ambient – building walls of sound from chilled beats to set the mood before sliding into the deep house, tech house, funky techno and drum n bass hardhitters.

Finally Jazzy J joins the shindig, ready to unleash some old-school house on the crowd. Think dancefloor tunes to get your feet going! Growing up amidst the electrifying Melbourne rave scene of the ’90s, Jazzy J’s passion for dance music was ignited and has been burning ever since. His journey took him to France, where he hosted monthly nights in bars and clubs with his eclectic house mixes. Now, over a decade later, he’s back in Australia, bringing his infectious love for dance music to the OCD dancefloor. Bodies must move when Jazzy J is spinning.
