The independent wine store that aims to make the world of wine accessible to all has finally landed in Newtown.
Renowned in Melbourne for offering boutique booze that won’t break the bank, sibling-run liquor merchant Blackhearts & Sparrows have been stocking a carefully curated collection of beer, wine and spirits since opening their first store in 2006.
Creating a boutique bottle shop focused on offering quality and obscure wine while eschewing the high price tags and pretension that are often associated with upmarket wine stores, siblings Paul and Jessica Ghaie have proved they’re onto a winning formula.
Almost 14 years on and they have ten Victorian locations, have expanded into the ACT and Tasmania and now they have just opened their first store in Geelong.
