‘Teardrop’ marks a bold arrival for the band, showcasing their exploration of widescreen music and cinematic soundscapes. Lead singer Angeline Armstrong’s tender, husky vocals cut through an urgent breakbeat, capturing the tension between light and dark, hope and sadness. Accompanied by a captivating visual directed by Armstrong and Claudia Sangiorgi Dalimore, “Teardrop” is a poetic statement of intent for the band’s future.

In a significant milestone, ‘Teardrop’ also signifies Telenova’s first release under a worldwide deal with EMI Records and a partnership with Fiction Records in the UK and Europe. Following a successful run through Europe in 2023, including headline shows in major cities and appearances at renowned festivals, Telenova returns home to Australia to embark on their national tour, alongside an appearance at Athens’ biggest music festival, Release, in June.

Telenova’s distinctive sound, described as a tapestry of dark romanticism and slick musicianship, has garnered widespread acclaim since their debut EP “Tranquilize” in 2021. With hit singles like “Bones” and the sweeping sonics of their follow-up EP “Stained Glass Love,” Telenova has captivated audiences worldwide, earning accolades from BBC6, KCRW, Vogue Paris, and NME, among others.

Since their debut in 2021, Telenova has been making waves with their distinct brand of alt-pop, earning accolades and praise from audiences and critics alike. Led by lead vocalist Angeline Armstrong and multi-instrumentalists Edward Quinn and Joshua Moriarty, Telenova’s music is a cinematic experience that transcends genres and captivates listeners around the world.

With each release, Telenova continues to evolve and redefine their sound, pushing boundaries and challenging conventions. From sold-out tours to major festival appearances, Telenova’s star continues to rise, cementing their status as one of Australia’s most exciting musical acts.
