After being forced to cancel last year’s festival less than two weeks before it was scheduled to begin, MICF is back to bring the laughs in 2021 with reduced capacities and fewer international guests, ensuring a plethora of COVIDSafe laughs and comedy good times.

Earlier this month, the beloved comedy extravaganza revealed this year’s program, including a huge spread of big names, newcomers and staple events such as The Gala, Opening Night Comedy Allstars Supershow, The Great Debate, Upfront, The (Very) Big Laugh Out and Comedy Club for Kids in carefully un-crowded venues.

While the guest list has been shortened, there is still something for every comedy lover with the likes of Australia’s Crown Prince of Comedy Joel Creasey, six-time People’s Choice Award winner Wil Anderson, Triple R’s Geraldine Hickey, self-proclaimed premier dickhead Tommy Little, ‘Victorious Lion’ Dilruk Jayasinha, long-time odd couple Lano & Woodley, triple j’s Michael Hing, Baking Queen Mel Buttle, and Edinburgh Fringe best newcomer nominee 2016 Nath Valvo.

You’ll also find shows from Arj Barker, Carl Donnelly, Damien Power, David Quirk, Dolly Diamond, Hot Department, Impromptunes, Ivan Aristeguieta, Jeff Green, Kevin Kropinyeri, Lehmo, Michelle Brasier, Nick Cody, Nikki Britton, Reuben Kaye, Ross Noble, The Breast of the Fest, The Comedy Zone, The Umbilical Brothers, Tom Ballard and many, many more.

And now, MICF has revealed the return of another festival favourite – its 24/24 deal. So whether you want to snag bargain tix to see some of your favourite comedians or you’d rather use the discount to widen your horizons and check out some new talent, there’s plenty to choose from.

But be quick, tickets are limited and at this price, they’re certain to get snapped up fast.

Grab your tickets via the MICF website.
