Please introduce yourself
We are the Melbourne based Erika x L.P collaborative project. Stemming from three diverse musical backgrounds we have come together to bring a sound that is a representative fusion of warm soulful vocals over a layered electronic instrumentation.
You’re stuck on a desert island with a CD player and some batteries- you’re only allowed ONE CD – what would it be?
J: I’ve had Thundercat – Apocalypse on repeat recently (particularly the live version of Lotus and the Jondy), so I’ll have to go with that.
B: Boards of Canada – The Campfire Headphase or the sound track from Cast Away.
E: It would have to be Fleetwood Mac – Rumours. This particular album was one my mum played religiously growing up, I could never tire from listening to it.
Describe your current EP
J: Warm vocal harmonies layered over organic instrumentation and 808/sample based drum programming.
B: An experimental blend of retro influenced jazz vocals with a deep undertone of future sounding bass alongside.
