Knotfest is making its Australian comeback in 2025 following a huge 2024 with Pantera and Disturbed.
Returning for its third iteration, Knotfest Australia announce 2025 dates and reveal venues. The festival established by American nu metal kings, ‘Duality’, ‘Wait and Bleed’ and ‘Psychosocial’ players Slipknot in 2012 boasts some of the hardest acts in the rock and metal scene.
For the 2025 Australian edition, the touring festival will stick to the East Coast, heading to Melbourne on Friday 28 February, taking over Flemington Racecourse, heading up to Brisbane Showground on Sunday 2 March and finishing up Sydney’s Centennial Park on Saturday 8 March.

The festival has already confirmed that Slipknot, themselves, will be headlining the event as part of their current 25 Year Anniversary tour which sees the band close out the year in Europe and the UK. The band have exclusively been playing tracks from their 1999 self-titled album including ‘Wait and Bleed’, ‘Surfacing’, ‘Eyeless’ and ‘No Life’. Unfortunately for fans post 2000’s, this means that none of their hits of the 21st century will make it on the setlist, including the mega-hit ‘Duality’ but the neck-breaking original fans will be chuffed.

Included during the Slipknot headline announcement earlier this year, promoter Destroy All Lines also revealed that fans who attended the 2024 event as headlined by Pantera and Disturbed would be first to access an exclusive first run of tickets to Knotfest.
The rest of the Knotfest Australia lineup is on its way over the coming weeks, with registration for line-up details and early bird pre-sale tickets available for the eager moshers here. Predictions include Anthrax, BABYMETAL, Meshugga, Gojira and I Killed The Prom Queen.
