As one of the longest-running, biggest and last-standing music festivals in Colac, Ska Nation International Music Festival is sadly leaving the shire this year.
This morning promoters and organisers of ska-celebration event, Ska Nation International Music Festival have announced a major venue change for their upcoming 2024 edition.
Citing the “rising production and insurance costs”, the two day Ska Nation International Music Festival will no longer be held at their permanent and long-standing location of Colac Showgrounds, moving into the Melbourne city to take place at Croxton Band Room, located at 607 High Street, Thornbury, on Saturday 30 November, and Sunday 1 December.

Ska Nation International Music Festival Team released the following statement in relation to the move:
“This decision has been made to ensure that we can deliver the highest quality experience in a more cost-effective indoor setting. We are excited to confirm that the festival lineup remains unchanged, with our international headliners Hey Smith from Japan, Voodoo Glow Skulls from the USA, and The Black Seeds from New Zealand, as well as a fantastic selection of Australia’s best ska, punk, and reggae bands supporting throughout the weekend”
“All previously purchased tickets remain valid for the new venue. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this change may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work to bring you an unforgettable festival experience.”
“We look forward to seeing you at the Croxton Band Room for an incredible weekend of live music!”
“Thank you for your continued support!”
Ska Nation International Music Festival boasts an impeccable lineup of talent from the trio of headliners of Hey Smith (Japan), Voodoo Glow Skulls (US), and The Black Seeds (NZ), in addition to homegrown ska heroes Sunny Coast Rude Boys, The Resignators, Ras Jahknow, The Kittyhawks, Loonee Tunes and more. The Black Seeds appearance will be the only Victorian performance from the legendary reggae act.
