Kate Miller-Heidke announced as headliner for Daylesford’s ChillOut Festival

Kate will be performing at ChillOut Carnival Day on Sunday 12th March 2023.

Having just locked in its dates for 2023, running from March 9 – March 13 2023 (Labour Day weekend), Australia’s longest-running and largest regional pride festival ChillOut has just announced its first headliner as the divine Kate Miller-Heidke.

Celebrating 26 years, the beloved festival will take place in regional Victoria’s LGBTQIA mecca of Daylesford once again, with next year’s incarnation set to bring more music, more dancing, and of course, lots of fun.

Fresh from touring her fifth studio album, 2020’s Top 10 ARIA Album Child In Reverse, which spawned the singles, ‘This Is Not Forever’, ‘Deluded’, ‘A Quiet Voice’, ‘Little Roots, Little Shoots’ and ‘Simpatico’ feat. Mallrat, Kate will be performing at ChillOut Carnival Day on Sunday 12th March 2023.

The award-winning singer-songwriter, who traverses the worlds of contemporary pop, folk, musical theatre and opera, is a fitting addition to the festival which will run under the theme ‘Find Your Wings’.

Over the years, Kate’s work has been nominated for ARIAs in categories as diverse as Best Pop Release, Best Adult Contemporary Album, Best Classical Album, Best Cast Recording, Best Comedy Release and Best Australian Live Act. Her composing credits range from opera adaptation of Shaun Tan’s children’s book ‘The Rabbits’ to ‘Muriel’s Wedding: The Musical’.

Kate was unanimously chosen by both the jury and public votes to become Australia’s representative at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest. Her heartfelt performance and the out-of-this-world staging of her original song ‘Zero Gravity’ won her first place in her semi-final, a top ten placing in the Grand Final, and the coveted Marcel Bezançon Award for Artistic Achievement.

In March, Kate released her latest single ‘You Can’t Hurt Me Anymore’ featuring Jaguar Jonze, alongside a new Deluxe Edition of the album with ten bonus tracks.

Mark your diaries now and start booking your accommodation. This is not to be missed.
