Honeysmack, the electronic music maestro from Melbourne, is set to take the stage with his unique LIVE improvised techno set. With nearly three decades of experience, Honeysmack is recognised as one of Australia’s leading electronic music pioneers. His music, born from the early 90s underground rave scene, blends Acid and Techno to create a sound that is both nostalgic and forward-thinking.
Known for his punk-rock aesthetic and philosophy, Honeysmack’s live performances are a high-energy, improvisational journey. Rejecting conventional DJing, his live sets are a testament to the essence of electronic dance music, featuring synthesizers and drum machines.
David Haberfeld, Honeysmack’s real name, challenges audiences by pushing the boundaries of how Techno is presented. No laptops, no records, no CDJs, and no USBs – just pure live electricity!
Honeysmack will be supported by an eclectic mix of regional/metropolitan artists – Shimmer Net, Mayari, Bangquatsch! + DJ sets from DJ Cuttlefish & Heath Myers. There will also be a light show by the Electric light brigade & projections by Michael Groth to really level up the event.
